In my aimless wandering's around the net I came across a film clip of an electron.
But I'm confused: surely the existence of the clip violates Heissenberg's uncertainty principle?

I think that they are predicting an event under controlled circumstances. Therefore, according to Heisenberg, there must be uncertainty of the other variable. Though, what the act of observing as well as the energy of the laser would impute I'm not sure.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I'm no physicist, but as far as I understand they determined only the position of the electron, not its velocity, so the Heisenberg principle should be ok IMHO.
